Central Harlem Obesity Workgroup (CHOW) |
| |
| The Central Harlem Obesity Workgroup (CHOW) was established to help plan, implement, and evaluate the year-long activities of the Health Revival. Specifically, the goal of CHOW is to develop, implement, and measure sustainable evidence-driven community interventions to reduce the prevalence of obesity in Central Harlem in a multi-faceted pilot program through faith-based organizations. CHOW also aims to create a culture of health awareness and activism within these institutions. |

| |
In spring 2007 CHOW conducted a pilot weight loss program in two houses of worship in Central Harlem. We are currently seeking funding to expand the program. |
