The Central Harlem Health Revival is sponsoring two contests. The recipe contest is open to all. Entries must make three healthy changes in an existing recipe and submit the new recipe and changes to Kristie Lancaster at kjl1@nyu.edu. Entries to the Youth (ages 12-20 years old) Art Expression Contest – The FAT Truth – must address the effect of obesity on our community and can be in the form of a poster (16x24), rap/spoken word (2 minutes or less), or essay (250 words or less). Submit entries to Kevin Davis, mrkrdavis@yahoo.com at Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop. Deadline for both: Sept. 3. Winners will be announced at the CHHR Obesity Conference – It’s a Family Affair, September 18, 2010. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries.
